One more little surprise I meant to share....

Yesterday, I had a power port placed in my chest. It's a device that goes under the skin and allows the medical staff to give me medications without having to get an iv every single time. As I was lieing on the table in the x-ray room where they do the procedure, the nurse brought the power port to me to see. I almost laughed out loud. It looked like a perfect little purple pink heart. It's small, flat on the bottom, a beautiful shade of purple pink - even the cording was pink. I decided to believe that God was encouraging me. Now my second "heart" beats PINK...life giving port pumping right into my own heart healing and hope! I am PINK in a whole new way!

Love you much,
Jan

coincidence that you would get a "pink" port? I think not. Sometimes God just cracks me up! He knows your heart, and I guess He is just giving you a glimpse of His. Gotta love Pink!

Love you friend!

Psalm 139 13-15: For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am ferfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before (even) one of them came to be.......
Lifting you up Jan.

Jan,

Praying for your today. I know it will be hard getting those chemicals pumped into your body, but God is going to be there holding you hand the whole time and illuminating that new little pink heart that He has provided for you. I would love to include you on my love roster of people I walk for in the 3-Day Walk for Breast Cancer. May I add you to my honor roll?

Blessings, and I love your positive attitude and love for our Daddy. Your smile and attitude are contageous, and I am blessed by all that you do.

Prays and love to you especially today.

I am reminded of the slogan of your ladies retreat PINK IMPACT! Now you are living the impact of that little pink/purple heart. God multiply its results.

Please check out my post to the first post you ever made. I made a post to it yesterday because I had saved that to favorites. Please go to it and see my note to you. I'll get the hang of this blog thing. You are awesome, Jan. You marveled at your niceness when you had your chemo but you know what they say, when the gold is fired, all the impurities rise to the top. Guess your pretty pure these days. Youre in a refiners fire. Hang in there. God is fighting for you and we are his partners in that. Loving you from way over here in Abilene.
